About me

Beginning your healing journey is not easy as life experiences and changes can be difficult to navigate and can take you out of your comfort zone. I believe in providing an environment that is warm and nurturing to provide a safe space for you to work at your own pace. I have been in the mental health field for over 15 years; working with adults and youth that is geared toward meeting the needs of each individual. My non-judgmental approach to counseling is built on a foundation of rapport, trust, collaboration, positive regards and empowerment. Each session is intentional and designed to provide you a safe space to work on becoming the best version of yourself; there is no issue too large or small that cannot be addressed in counseling. Jaclyn is the Therapist that stuck for me. She's been a life changing influence for me, and I could not recommend her more highly. Her style is very laid back, but exceptionally professional. She is always presenting me with new skills, new perspectives on things troubling me for extended periods, and she is compassionate and patient with her teaching style.

Jaclyn has always been extremely professional, positive, supporting and overall a great person to talk to. She always gives advice during our conversations. Each session, and even with messaging, I feel like its a safe place to express what Im feeling and going through. Those moments mean a lot and help. I do feel a difference within myself for doing these session and exploring how I feel and whats going on. Having Jaclyn Powell as my therapist is having someone who is there to have your back and help you through some of the darkest times in life.

This was my first time trying therapy and was really nervous. Jaclyn almost immediately made me feel comfortable enough to share things I find hard to talk to anyone about. Very flexible and also consistent with her messages which helps me as a reminder to take care of me.
