About me

Hi there, my name is Jaclyn Squeglia and I am a therapist from north of Boston, Massachusetts. Thank you for viewing my profile. I am happy that you are taking steps to becoming your best self and feel ready to talk to someone. I have over 10 years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed School Adjustment Counselor working with individuals, families, couples and groups. For over 6 years I worked as a Clinical Director of a female adolescent group home for the state of Massachusetts where I assisted families to prepare for reunification or assisted youth with transition planning towards independent living. For the past 4 years I have worked as a counselor in a collaborative school for students ages 11-22. Throughout my career I have treated many different populations and have received multiple certifications to advance my learning.

Simply put, I am an easy person to talk to and a good listener. I am kind, open-minded, respectful and I hold no judgments. I will challenge you to reflect on your internal and external worlds, as well as address your areas of need while building on your strengths, and help you learn to understand the purpose of your thoughts and behaviors. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, developmental or intellectual delays, anger, and depression using an eclectic blend of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamics with solution-focused and strength-based lenses. I will be a sounding board for you, a listening ear, a reflector. We will build your therapeutic tool bag and make progress towards your goals. I look forward to working together!
