About me

I believe the goal of counseling should be an authentic and non-judgmental experience that is culture-centered, strength-based, and wellness focused. I have more than 16 years working in mental health and eight years experience as a counselor. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) in North Carolina and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I received my Master's of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in May 2012. I am currently a doctoral student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in the Rehabilitation Counseling and Rehabilitation Counselor Education program with plans to graduate in May 2021.
