About me

We all need support, validation, and genuine empathy. If you are looking for empowerment to create a life filled with meaning and purpose, I am here to help. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Maryland with over 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and a diagnostic assessment specialist. I have completed half of my coursework in the doctoral program in educational psychology from the American School of Psychology at Argosy University. I have helped adults, families, children, and adolescents of diverse backgrounds and concerns.

My approach to counseling is warm and empathetic. I pride myself on treating everyone with kindness, respect, and sensitivity. I focus on building trust as well as open and honest communication in the therapeutic relationship. In doing so, we are able to allow for the process of change and healing to occur in a way that is meaningful and productive for you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jacqueline Cilento. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Jacqueline was a terrific help when I was going through a separation from my wife of 33 years. My reason for me separating was that I had fallen out of love with my wife, a fairly nebulous reason to end a 33 year marriage. Jacqueline helped me refocus on myself and keeping me strong when all I felt like doing was calling the whole thing off. I was causing a great deal of pain the my wife and my kids although older could have lived with out this changes I was creating with in our family.
When they say divorce is the worst thing you can go through they are right and it was a life saver to have Jacqueline on my team.

Jacqueline Cilento (MA, LCPC) is great. I really feel like I am able to share and express my feelings even though we don't see each other face-to-face.

I appreciate her insight and questions that allow me to ask the right questions of her to get the help that I need.

Jacqueline is phenomenal! She takes the time to understand how and what you're feeling, and works patiently with you to rework your thought processes. She is supportive and kind, and willing to go the extra mile (whether that means messaging with you 5x a day, talking on the phone, whatever).
