About me

As an analytical therapist with rich experience in mental health counseling (dual diagnosis, co-occurring disorders and substance abuse), I have a Master of Arts in counseling at Prairie View A & M. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor-Intern in Texas.

I have experience working with individuals, children, adolescents, geriatric, couples and have conducted family counseling, grief therapy, group therapy, marriage and family therapy (children, adolescents, and adults), school counseling, & home and community-based counseling.

I have worked with those experiencing anger, anxiety, depression, grief, bipolar, schizophrenia, stress management, assessments, and life transitions. As a Professional License Counselor, Christian counselor, I offer a personality that is warm and empathetic. Many clients want to incorporate their faith into therapy, along with Christian Counseling is one of my passions.

My professional training includes: CBT Certification, Trauma Trained, Crisis Intervention, Suicide Risk Assessment, Anxiety Pressure Point Understanding, Trauma-Informed Care, EMDR, and Gottman Training. With my proven skillset and experience as a person-centered therapist, I am able to help clients through their difficult times. The focus of my career to date has been on, cultivating children, adults and leading groups in the community with needed skills and resources to assist in adjusting to life and making changes in hopes of having a better lifestyle.

I am passionate about helping mankind. I consider myself as one of God’s willing workers who understand that we are all God’s children and we may need help dealing with difficult circumstances. My hope is to touch everyone’s life with whom my path may cross. I truly feel a sense of gratitude to be a chosen counselor, for individuals to trust and allow me to be a part of their struggles. My agape love exhibits me to be concerned about the welfare for all individuals who seek help to be at peace, physically, and mentally. It is my journey as a therapist to strive to serve, educate and increase awareness on mental health.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
