So far so good! James listens, helps me through my issues, and speaks my language. Very intelligent man and calls me out when needed, doesn't just tell me what I want to hear.

James Is phenomenal. He let's me talk, he listenes and he genuinely cares... as I've done alot of self discovery and personal work on myself and can usually figure out my issues I was skeptical I could get much from therapy, he has pointed out things in very caring and easy to comprehend ways that are after 1 session helping me immensely. Also I felt bad writing long journals that were more or less directed to him as this is paid sessions... he responds to every one and encourages me to continue. I'm very pleased and I would recommend him to anyone

I think I found my person ! In 2 sessions, I've already seen James Actively listen, take diligent notes, respectfully engage with thoughtful and insightful introspect, while never controlling the narrative. He also provides me direction, while still acknowledging that there are gaps that yet are to be explored. He gives me something to work off of, while still providing room for exploration and understanding. I definitely see a huge difference in James that I have not seen in other therapists and I'm grateful for him.

He has been wonderful to listen and provide feedback. A well maintained balance of both in each session. He has suggested tasks and mapped many thought patterns. I have made progress with this therapy. Clearly he is intelligent and does a great job.

Mr. Slover is the best therapist I've had in years. I came to him with a very specific problem I was looking to receive support working through and he was 100% on board helping me through it from day 1. Where most therapists would slot me into their developed therapy plan instead of tailoring the therapy to my specific feelings and needs, I know Mr. Slover's main focus is to figure out the optimal way to help me best through my areas of focus.
His level of awareness and deepness of engagement truly show his mastery of psychology and therapy. When I present a thought or idea, he catches small things I say or the way I say things and asks questions or provides prompts that encourage me to go a level deeper to think through the process of how I reached my opinion on something. More often than not this process repeats continuously, with our conversations going deeper and deeper until we've both reached an incredible level of understanding of why I think in the ways I do and thus how I can grow and make the changes I would like to see.
Throughout this whole process I never feel like Mr. Slover is goading me into saying something or that I have to be overly transparent. His questions and comments all feel that they come from a place of genuine curiosity, like he's genuinely curious and invested in me, because (I think) he is. He doesn't know the answer and is not just leading by the nose until I say it myself. We are both working together to figure out the reasons behind my actions and thoughts and then work together to chart the course that will lead to the most favorable outcome I am looking to achieve.
I could not recommend Mr. Slover more highly, he has proven to me repeatedly that his focus is me, both working with me through my issues and questions but also doing so in the way that helps me learn and progress while feeling comfortable. I know his focus is on me and that reassurance makes me feel comfortable asking him for help with any type of issue that may come up now or in the future.
11/10, truly a master in his craft.
