About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor (Texas License #62399) with 17 years of clinical experience. I have worked with a wide range of mental health conditions, including: depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, relationship issues, weight management, life transitions, and more. I also have experience working with Veterans, Active Duty service members, and their spouses.

I work to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental experience for clients so they can openly discuss, explore, and work on the sensitive issues that brought them into counseling.

From a technical standpoint, my counseling approach is informed by the Person-Centered/Humanistic, Attachment Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches. I also keep up-to-date on the evidence-based research on what interventions work best for common mental health conditions in order to provide the best experience for my clients.

Seeking help is a brave first step in your healing journey. I look forward to walking with you as you work towards improving your mental health!

So far so good! James listens, helps me through my issues, and speaks my language. Very intelligent man and calls me out when needed, doesn't just tell me what I want to hear.

James is awesome. He listens really well and doesn’t respond with a response that isn’t well thought out and very specific to you.

James Is phenomenal. He let's me talk, he listenes and he genuinely cares... as I've done alot of self discovery and personal work on myself and can usually figure out my issues I was skeptical I could get much from therapy, he has pointed out things in very caring and easy to comprehend ways that are after 1 session helping me immensely. Also I felt bad writing long journals that were more or less directed to him as this is paid sessions... he responds to every one and encourages me to continue. I'm very pleased and I would recommend him to anyone
