About me

Hello and thank you for visiting my page.

My name is Jamie Farmer and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Texas. I have over 19 years of experience working with teens, adults, and families in outpatient mental health centers, integrated health care centers, and therapeutic residential child care facilities. My passion includes working with clients needing support with major life transitions, stress, grief and loss, low self-esteem, ADHD, depression, anxiety, parenting challenges, OCD, bipolar, phobias, and trauma.

I am an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist and have advanced training in Strength Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I practice from the view that building emotional intelligence and embodiment is possible for everyone and this is the gateway to healthy presence and engagement in life. The process of attuning to one’s own body and feelings allows a space to discover unhealthy patterns and move onto the life one wants to live.

It would be my privilege to assist you in finding your place of peace, joy, and well being.

Jamie was awesome! Super empathetic but will call out your BS if needed. She helped me with my issues and gave me tools to help me change my behavior and move toward a better relationship. I would definitely recommend her for anyone who has relationship issues or who needs to change poor ways of communicating and/or habits.
