About Me

Greetings!! I am grateful to be sharing this moment with you! My name is Jamie and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Georgia with over 12 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. I have experience in the mental health field and have worked in a variety of settings including in-home therapy, community mental health, long distance counseling, inpatient hospital based therapeutic services, group therapy, collegiate counseling services and some school visits. I have experience working with a broad range of clinical issues including anxiety and depression, trauma recovery, anger management, self- esteem, major life changes and family/relationship issues.

I know that it takes a lot of courage to make the step in reaching out for help so I want you to know that my goal is to work hand in hand with you to achieve your goals and build the necessary skills to help navigate through life. My approach to counseling is warm and inviting and I will offer support as we navigate through difficult topics. I am a firm believer that we already possess the tools inside to change our life but that sometimes we just need a little assistance tapping into them. That is where I come into play! It is no accident or coincidence that you are here today and we are connected.

My clinical hours are typically 9-5 Mon-Thurs. I look forward to the possibility of working with you as you take the next step towards achieving your goals!

I’ve worked with several therapist and Jamie’s the best! She laid back yet professional and offers actionable steps to overcome challenges I’m having. She also helps me see things in a more realistic light while also validating my experiences, which allows me to get out of my head and handle situations appropriately. I’ve learned so much from her and am so grateful!

Written by J.E. on May 01, 2022 after therapy with Jamie for 2 years and 2 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, and career difficulties

I highly recommend Jamie. Talking to her is as easy as therapy gets. That's not to say she won't challenge you but she does it with care.

Written by N.E. on Apr 28, 2022 after therapy with Jamie for 8 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, self esteem, anger management, and coping with life changes

Jamie has been my therapist for 8 months & she has just been a breath of fresh air. It’s not often that I speak to strangers about my struggles in life, but she has become a trusted vault that I can release into & leave the conversation with gems to deposit into my moments. I absolutely love her.

Jamie is exceptional. There are no words to describe how much she has helped me and how grateful I am to have her as a therapist. She’s everything and more. Everyone needs a therapist like her!

Written by A.M. on Apr 08, 2022 after therapy with Jamie for 2 years on issues concerning stress, anxiety, family conflicts, self esteem, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, and adhd

Hands down the best decision I ever made was whatever I did to be paired with Jamie. She has an extraordinary talent for making me feel heard, challenging me, and allowing me time to reflect all at once. She motivates me to strive to be better on the daily!

Written by C.A. on Apr 06, 2022 after therapy with Jamie for 1 year on issues concerning stress, anxiety, self esteem, and adhd

Jamie is great because, especially in the beginning, I was really nervous but she is a very vibrant and talkative person that she easily got me into a conversation and would ask me questions to have me elaborate. Starting off with just messaging was nice and now we do voice calls, which I am comfortable with because i can also be cleaning up or folding laundry while I talk. Sometimes she seems to get off the topic of what I want to talk about, but in the end, I realize that it was probably a better route and helped me a bit more than just talking about my smaller stressors (which we still talk about). She really emphasized doing things for yourself and taking care of yourself. This is good because I get so caught up thinking about others and helping others that when it comes to me, I would (and still sometimes) get overwhelmed and unsure of how to help myself best at that time.

When I reached out to Jamie, I was at my lowest point in the past few years. After speaking with Jamie, I've become more positive and motivated with what I want to achieve and have been taking little steps towards the goals.
Jamie has been very supportive and encouraging throughout the weeks and has offered sound advice every time. I am particularly thankful that Jamie reaches out to me throughout the week to check in and is flexible to the sessions.
It is working well with me and I'd highly recommend Jamie to anyone who wants to reach out for some support.
