About me

Hello,
And thank you for deciding to read my profile. I have been in the counseling field since 2012. I have worked in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. I specialize in dual diagnosis disorders, and have experience with mood disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse, sexual concerns, domestic violence, and grief and loss, just to name a few. My approach is very different from others, because I view clients from my own perspective but also identify what approach works best for them! I work with people so that they can learn about themselves, and the environment they choose to live in. That way they are able to customize their interventions and goals. This often creates long term progress and change. This change also comes about in the relationship I like to build working with others. I enjoy sharing information and resources, especially if it will help with growth and development. I am currently a doctoral student and teach part time, but being a counselor is my passion. Working in both fields allows me to consider and create ways to help people from diverse backgrounds and age ranges determine what is healthy for them. I welcome meeting with anyone who is interested in discussing how to move forward and improve their overall well-being.
