Janay Price, LCSW, LISW
About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia with 12 years of psychotherapy experience serving the adult and older adult populations. I've assisted countless adults in the areas of but not limited to; depression, anxiety, adjustment, family concerns, and geriatric specific concerns.
I prefer to use an eclectic approach in counseling meeting my clients where they are; therefore, I practice with a combination of modalities to include solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. Every patient receives treatment that is individually catered to their personal needs. I strive to create a relaxed environment where my clients feel safe to speak openly about their challenges without fear of judgement, offering compassion, support, and empathy. I value the dignity and worth of my clients and my goal is to encourage to them to do the same for themselves. The tone of the sessions are set by my clients; if you are vibrant and bubbly, we will be highly interactive. If you are hesitant, quiet, or a bit reserved, the tone will be warm and welcoming.
I admire a person's desire to become a better version of themselves and I am honored to assist you in becoming that, if you feel we are an appropriate match.

Janey listens well and is offers suggestions but never really tells me what I should or shouldn't do .

She is a voice of reason when I can not find the words to my feelings and situations. She is very understanding, very compassionate, caring, kind, and helps me to see things more clear through the foggy mind. I truly enjoy her as a therapist because she is a great teacher. Even when it gets hard to show up to an appointment she always sends a caring message of encouragement. Thank you for wanting to help guide me out of the tunnels I built but forgot to make a map to get back out.
