About me
Welcome and excellent job in taking the first vulnerable step in finding a therapist and beginning your journey of counseling! I am sure it is kind of strange to browse for a therapist or to have to reach out for the first time but you have come to the right place. If you are willing to work on your goals you are in the right place!
I truly believe that at some point in most of our lives we go through challenging times in which we may feel lost, scared, lonely, anxious, or defeated. With me as your therapist, we work together to identify your best-fitting coping skills and build inner strength. We strive to uncover the barriers within that keep you from your best self and move you toward enjoying a rewarding sense of clarity. I recognize the difficulties individuals face as we begin to reach out and begin the healing process. I am motivated to walk with you at your pace to achieve the goals and aspirations that are most important to your personal growth and exploration.
I graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2013 with my MSW and currently hold the title of License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My experience spans varied demographics, areas of focus, and therapy needs. My approaches include CBT, DBT, and I am pursuing training in EMDR. I have provided therapy in clinic settings, emergency MH, and telehealth, with adult and adolescent clients. My areas of focus are depression, anxiety, grief, transition, trauma, substance use, and chronic illness.
It is important to me to present myself as warm, engaging, and welcoming. When we meet, all judgment is discarded as you share and develop your skills. Allow us to consider how your past has shaped your mood and perspective. As we uncover the layers of your history, we shed anxiety, depression, and daily functioning barriers that have been holding you back. I am here for you, and excited to get started!
