Hi I'm Jane Miclon. I'm a licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families. I attended the University of Connecticut receiving a Masters degree in Social Work. My experience includes but is not limited to working within schools, mental health clinics, psychiatric and medical hospitals, and military mental health clinic.. I especially enjoy helping guide adults with discovering blocks to their success in relationships and careers, coping with life changes and developing more positive healthy relationships. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strength based, trauma therapy and solution focused approaches. My original training was Psychoanalytic and object relations theory. I use these theories along with complex trauma theory to guide me in helping clients work towards building happier lives. I'm non-judgmental, open minded and client centered. My experience has taught me to start where you are and begin the work towards resolving/ reducing the presenting issues. I'm a life long learner who enjoys researching/reading to continuously increase my skills.

Jane is easy to talk to about anything. She has been very helpful to me while processing my past and how my present is affected by it. I feel much happier and healthier now than when I started seeing her.
Jane is amazing. Along with being a phenomenal listener, she is extremely insightful. I appreciate Jane's attentiveness, follow through, and willingness to give my prompts to stay on track as I work on my mental health challenges.
I’ve been with Jane 7–8 months. She is the epitome of a patient, compassionate, knowledgeable and personable professional.
Jane is the best of the best and has helped me completely transform my life in 12 months. I wouldn’t be where I am now without her and I love having her to talk to whenever I need.
Jane is always matching my energy, which is greatly appreciated. She is able to keep me centered, while being extremely empathetic to how I’m feeling. She’s the best!

Jane is an amazing therapist. She listens and gives good constructive feedback and makes me feel comfortable in trusting she knows what I need best.
I love her. Very supportive, extremely nice and compassionate. So empathetic and always makes me feel better. She's always there when i need her
She's very nice, understanding, and non judgemental. She really sits there and listens to you and conversates with you like any other friend but also has very insightful feedback . Literally after every session, I feel 10x better. Not just because I had an hour long venting session but because I feel like I'm receiving the tools to be better which btw you can definitely count on receiving applicable worksheets to look over and work on for the next session.
She is really good. She very funny but also understanding and listens to me I feel like it’s a team work and I really appreciate that. I would recommend her because she great.
Jane does a great job of listening and being available for me.
