Hi! If you are exploring Better Help, it is likely that you are seeking ways to find happiness, peace, or tranquility during these challenging times. It is likely that you are exploring options to living a better quality of life, living in abundance, seeking success and prosperity by fulfilling your goals and purpose in life. It is crucial to be guided by someone with experience, one who you can connect with mentally, especially during these stressful times. Having a good relationship with your counselor who motivates you to achieve your goals, hopes, and dreams is crucial to your success. I know how hard it can be to find a counselor who you feel a connection with and I would be honored to work with you through this stage of your life.
I have been a social worker for 13 years and have experience working with children and families from all backgrounds who are experiencing unique challenges. I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Thereafter, I worked in child protective services for seven years where I gained experience interviewing children and families who were suspected of abuse and neglect. I counseled individuals who suffered from trauma, anxiety, substance abuse, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, family problems, domestic violence, among other challenges. I later earned a Masters degree in Social Work and worked at an Elementary and Middle School as a counselor. There I conducted individual and group counseling sessions and helped children with bullying issues, stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence issues. Currently, I work as an mental health consultant and as a part-time therapist for children in foster care. Whatever stage in life you are in right now, you can expect me to walk with you through whatever difficulties you are facing and help you learn more about yourself and the way you interact with the world.
We can communicate in whichever manner you are most comfortable. A majority of my availability is in the evenings and on the weekends but I check messages periodically throughout the day.
