I am a licensed clinical social worker, eligible to participate in private independent practice. I receive my masters degree in social work in 2016 from Western New Mexico State University. I have been working with individuals, children parents, and couples for several years now, in different capacities. I do have various experience working with individuals, as well as group therapy, and tele-health therapy. My background experience includes but is not limited to working with individuals with depression, anxiety, borderline personality, trauma, ADHD, ADD, and issues around life transitions. I have worked with clients of various ages including 11 years to adults.
I use evidence-based practice approaches to help clients. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone and everyone with with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. It’s very important for me to create a safe place where clients are comfortable sharing and learning new strategies to manage as well as I understand it has to be individualized, because I am aware and understand there is not one approach that works for everyone.
My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, psychodynamic, couples therapy, and various others.
I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I like to remind clients you get what you put into it, if your resistant to change or trying new things its important to try and be open minded to get the best results.
Anxiety and stress
Sessions: I am open for live chats, videos, or phones via the app. I am flexible, and always ask clients their preference so they can be comfortable. I am also able to schedule specific times, and days if you need that as I realize everyone is busy so please feel free to ask me any questions so I can best help you.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Janice Walker. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
This has really been a solid experience with Janice. She works very hard to make sure that my (and other's) needs are met. My initial expectations were low. I am super happy that this completely changed my views. Now, I'm convinced that every person would benefit from therapy.
She is a great therapist
Janice is amazing. She listens well, doesn't judge, and has offered useful tools and advice to help with my anxiety/depression/ADHD. I can also tell she really cares and just wants to help her clients feel better.
She’s very nice
Janice is great! She gives thoughtful responses in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend!
I came into this thinking I would have a hard time opening up again, but my therapist made me feel very comfortable. I have had no problem expressing what I need help with and taking in what is said back to me. I have been doing the activities I have been given and working on myself little by little as my sessions continue. My therapist Janice Walker is a perfect match for me and what I need help with.
Janice has been great! She listens and offers useful tools and thoughts to promote a better relationship between me and my husband.
She is very responsive, and understanding
