Jarrod Call

(LCSW)

About Me

I grew up outside of Seattle, WA and moved to Denver in the Fall of 2018. I have experience in areas including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, crisis management, and issues related to gender identity and sexual orientation. I've worked as an ER crisis worker and a substance abuse counselor, focusing on residential care for high risk men with extensive histories of homelessness and incarceration.  Currently, I am back in school working on my PhD in social work with a focus on queer wellbeing and suicide prevention.

As a counselor, I believe that people have the ability to reach their goals, and I work with them to access their available skills and resources to move forward. I view therapy as a partnership where we work together to create a treatment plan, set realistic goals, and celebrate progress.

I am excited to get to know you and work together!

I can’t say enough about how Jarrod has helped me the past year. He helps to keep me grounded and reminds me how far I have come when my anxiety makes it difficult to have that perspective. I am very grateful for him!

Jarrod Call has been an amazing and caring therapist who clearly cares about helping his clients as much as he can. I've had 2 therapists who didnt work out yet Jarrod has helped me so much by being supportive and understanding. Working on achieving goals while addressing issues has greatly help me. Overall I am very fortunate to have him as a therapist.

Jarrod is very responsive and checks in often just to follow up on goals or just to make sure you’re okay. He’s attentive but let’s you set the tone for your therapy. He has been incredibly helpful.

Jarrod has helped me more in a few weeks than in person counseling ever had. He’s very responsive to messages and is easy to talk to during live sessions. More importantly, he asks thoughtful questions during our sessions that are specific to what you’re dealing with and is open to feedback to tailor future sessions to meet your needs.

Jarrod Call had been absolutely excellent through some very uncertain times.
He is an excellent listener and gives thorough, thoughtful advice in a timely manner.
I would suggest his expertise to my friends, my family, or anyone in need of a patient, capable and accepting voice of reason.

Great counselor, available for you, and listens to what you really need.

Jarrod has been so helpful to work with! As a fellow therapist sometimes we need perspective from our own colleagues, especially in their areas of expertise. He has helped me become more competent and confident working with some of the LGBTQ community, in which I’m very grateful! His insight is very professional and competent and I’m grateful I found him.

Jarrod is an amazing counselor. I can’t believe how much progress I have been able to make in such a short time. He always responds promptly and listens so well. He is very empathetic and can intuit my feelings when I don’t have the words to express them. 5 gold stars!
