Welcome! My name is Jasmine Williams, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Congratulations, you’ve just taken the first brave step to your future by seeking counseling. I am so happy that you have chosen me to accompany you on this journey. I began my counseling career nearly 8 years ago to provide a non-judgmental, caring community for individuals dealing with life’s stressors and transitions. It is my mission to offer a safe space for individuals through collaborative and holistic practices to combat unfavorable reactions to everyday stressors. I have worked with an array of individuals in varying settings including, community based, online, inpatient, outpatient and counseling in the healthcare setting. I have offered several services including individual, couples and family counseling as well as life group meetings, with the hopes of offering inclusive services for clients in various stages of their journey. While I am passionate about all of the work that I do, I feel most at home treating individuals dealing with disparaging reactions to anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, life transitions (divorce, job changes, relocation, new health diagnoses, etc.) inter and intrapersonal conflicts, and maladaptive reactions to trauma.
As a client-centered therapist I am elated to provide interactive and solution-focused therapy. I encourage clients to engage, and collaborate while empowering them to foster positive changes as they are the expert of their own lives. I prefer solution focused, cognitive behavioral, and narrative therapeutic modalities, as well as motivational interviewing. Throughout our journey together there will be opportunities to process your thoughts and feelings, identify goals, find coping strategies and interventions that are tailored to you, vent and eventually arrive at a solution in a warm judgement free environment. It is my aim to make sure that my client feels empowered while challenging them to evolve into their best self.
Though challenging, counseling can be very beneficial. Thank you so much for your openness and bravery in sharing your thoughts and feelings with me. I look forward to collaborating with you in this chapter of your life.
