About Me

My objective is to work with people in a helping field. Every job or internship I have taken has always focused on making an individual a better person. I have found working with children who were victims of abuse, adults with a psychotic diagnosis, suicidal clients in crisis, or even inmates who came to prison as perpetrators the client service is only as good as the staff providing the care. I want learn and grow as a healthcare provider. I feel as if I have put myself in many situations where I have applied my skills to a broad spectrum of clients. In choosing to work with various populations in community mental health and the department of corrections, I believe I can better service anyone from any background or situation.

My education covered a curriculum covering diagnosing, medication treatment, counseling theories, and internship and practicum. I also spent two years under supervision before completing my licensure. I have worked with various populations spanning children, adolescents, adults, suicidal clients in crisis, inmates, and more. I mold my counseling technique based on the client's specific problem. I have no hesitation counseling any population. My philosophy is to help the human being heal, I'm not here to judge anyone.

The counseling settings I have worked in include a crisis stabilization unit (where people are under a seventy two hour hold due to suicidal ideations or psychosis), outpatient counseling, inmate counseling at a correctional facility, family counseling, and a school system.
