About Me

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in Mental Health/ Addictions therapy. I have 13 years experience helping folks cope with depression, anxiety, marital issues & addictions. Depression and anxiety can hurt, and the answer does not always come from a prescription. You deserve to work with someone you trust and feel comfortable with. You deserve someone who will not judge you or tell you that your problems are all in your head. Additionally, if you are struggling with a chemical addiction, we need to treat the addiction AND what is going on with you emotionally. I know it is difficult to take the first step, but change is possible! I have experience with several therapy approaches but I feel Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps people change they way they feel and react to their thoughts, and to me, this is most effective. I also utilize a more structured approach called Problem Solving Therapy. Using this model, we would focus exclusively on one identified problem, helping you find the power to solve it quickly.

In addition to doing what I love for a career, I also enjoy spending time with my family and watching my two boys grow up. I love all kinds of sports and have recently started collecting movie memorabilia.

I've only just begun working with Jason, but so far have found him to be a reassuring, friendly, and accessible presence. I didn't expect chat-based counseling to feel so natural. Jason is good at reframing my anxieties into actionable insights. I find myself looking forward to our chats. Just knowing there's someone to talk to has been very helpful.

He's a very understanding counselor. He gives different options to cope, and provides different ideas about different situations. He has opened my eyes to a few things, which I couldn't have done on my own.

Jason is great! He provides thoughtful and considerate responses while keeping spirits up. This doesn't diminish the seriousness of the subjects at hand but helps provide a bit of perspective and levity.

The only reason why I did not give Jason five stars is because I haven't been speaking with him for long. However, I am very satisfied with the services he is providing for me. He is by far the most personable and receptive therapist I have had (and I have had a lot). When I am speaking with him I don't feel like I need to put on the formalities that meeting with someone in person asks me to. As a result, I am much more open to speaking with him about very emotional issues. I will continue working with him.

I am very pleased with the first 2 sessions with Jason. We had some technical issues on session 3 and had to cancel. I have 2 remaining including 1 tonight. I look forward to chatting with Jason.
