About me

MBACP, CMA. ICO, Counsellor and Hypno-psychotherapist.
I became a counsellor because.....

I was once in a very dark place, I thought there was no way forward, it was a counsellor that helped me understand what was happening.
So profound a gift needed paying forward. So i devote my time learning how to help YOU!

As a counsellor and hypnotherapist at Betterhelp, I offer a range of services to help clients overcome various challenges and achieve their personal and professional goals. I am a BACP qualified counsellor, executive coach, and hypnotherapist, with over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health.

My approach is based on person-centred counselling, which means I listen to my clients' needs and preferences, and tailor my methods accordingly. I use a variety of techniques, such as CBT, mindfulness, guided journey work, relaxation, and self-esteem building, to help clients cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other issues.
I also have experience working with diverse populations, as I work internationally; including children, adults, and people from different backgrounds, cultures, and religions. My mission is to help my clients find their best self and live a fulfilling life.
Mission statement;
To help You through adversity with empathy, respect, honesty and benevolence.

My Experience will help You move forward

I allow You to bring what You need to the session, while I bring in a wide variety of methods to help You. I bring in the most relevant theories from my wealth of experience I have gained over the years.

A Counsellor should be continuously learning..

Professional services Experience:

My experience started in bereavement, at Oldham hospital. Where I learned that loss extends to many areas in life (not just the loss of a loved one or pet). It can be a loss of self identity, a job or leaving college!

I went on to work with addiction which brought in abuse, sexuality issues, self image problems, life skill problems, anxiety, stress depression. Working in this field can often brought in people who have had traumatic events happen in their life. I help them understand that trauma, and help them move forward.

I have trained in relationship counselling. Expanding my professional knowledge to help those who are stuck in current and past relationships. I can help individuals to understand their love language and where you are in the relationship cycle and even fall in love again.

My most recent studies are in; Menopause , Men and relationship, Autism awareness, nutrition in social (cache level 2's)

Everyone can find answers within themselves. I help you find those answers at your own pace.

Jane is a great therapist. She's experienced, caring and knowledgeable.

Jayne is an extremely kind and great person. I opened my self so easily to her, which I thought this could be impossible. She listens to you and brings out thin that you’ve never even questioned or realize that is happening.

Jayne has provided an incredibly supportive, understanding and safe space to address a very complex web of anxieties & fears and I've benefitted a huge amount from every session.

Jayne made me feel safe and comfortable right from the first session. She offers an empathetic ear with practical therapeutic advice as well that I can apply in my real life situations. She offers space for me to share and helps me see perspectives I’d never have considered before by validating my experience. And it all feels like an easy conversation which is great! Would absolutely recommend.

Jane has a lot of experience that’s why I chose her as my therapist. Jane is easy to speak to and I feel so comfortable to let all my vulnerabilities show. I can see myself growing through these sessions.

Highly recommend Jayne to anyone that is struggling with anxiety, relationship/communication trouble, and if you struggle with a lack of confidence.
I came to Jayne struggling with anxiety and trouble in my relationship.
She taught me lots of techniques to deal with my anxiety and tackling stressful situations. She also delved deeper into what made me anxious and why those things were making me anxious and again all sorts of techniques to manage these situations. We spoke about anger, self care, my thoughts, communication, better sleep and we set goals and challenges to help me overcome certain feelings and situations and even did a hypnotherapy session to build confidence.
I honestly feel so much better about my anxiety now, I haven’t had a panic attack since starting my sessions with Jayne as I now know how to cope when these feelings come along.
My relationship is so much happier as jayne helped me with communication techniques and I feel so much lighter and happier in general.
Thankyou so much Jayne for all your help I am definitely a happier and more confident individual after our sessions together!
