I have always loved to help and work with people, which is why I graduated on May 19th, 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in social work and a minor in psychology at Salisbury University. I also completed my Masters in Social Work program at Salisbury University on May 24th, 2017. I have obtained my LMSW license in the state of Maryland and I have also obtained my LCSW license in the state of Delaware and California.
I have been providing counseling services since 2016 and have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, and group settings. In 2017 I worked in an inpatient substance abuse detox rehabilitation facility, where I provided therapy to individuals working to overcome their substance abuse addiction. During this time I provided group and individual therapy, as well as assisted with obtaining the resources necessary for individuals to transition back into their lives once discharged. In addition to substance abuse addictions, I have experience working with individuals who are diagnosed with PTSD, ADHD, Anxiety and Depression. I have worked as a therapist in the school system with children and adolescents, which also involved family therapy with the children's parents. I have experience with assisting with not only the issues occurring at an individual level, but at the familial level as well. I have also worked in private practice with adults undergoing weight loss surgery. My work involved completing mental health status evaluations as well as individual therapy. I am also very familiar and have worked with individuals who struggle with self-harm and suicidal ideation.
My therapeutic style involves Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused and Trauma Focused Therapy. During our time together, we will work towards change and accomplishing your goals for yourself. I would describe my therapeutic style as warm and empathetic, but ready to help you to overcome the obstacles that are standing in your way. We will work together to create goals as well as steps for you to achieve these goals. Although the process is not always easy, it is worth it.
I look forward to meeting and working with you!

She is great. Much better than I have experienced
I've only just begun using BetterHelp, but my first session with Jazmine was very helpful. She asked questions that caused me to reflect on things that I am doing to hinder my own progress. In just one week, there is already a measurable improvement in my daily issues because of a few changes based on that conversation. She listens and is kind.
Jazmine is caring and prompt. I really appreciate her help.
Jazmine is very understanding, helpful, professional and polite, perfect for us...
She's been very helpful. This is my first experience with counseling. She has made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Very helpful!
I’ve only had one session with Jazmine, but I felt very comfortable expressing my concerns and feelings and I’m looking forward to an ongoing professional relationship. I didn’t feel judged. I felt heard. Very helpful experience.
Jazmine is great and really helps me work through the background of my feelings.
Jazmine is very knowledgeable and professional. She has been very helpful so far!
Ms. Maddox is a complete professional. She listens well and provides me with great feedback. There are times when the questions she asks show that she has keen insight into the entire spectrum of human emotions. I am grateful for her help and look forward to working with her going forward.
I fell really good about the help that Jazmine is giving me. There's an actual momentum to my treatment and I don't feel like I'm just venting over and over. She's helping me gain some new insights that I can actually apply day-to-day, and has helped me establish some treatment goals so I can measure my progress.
The most awesome thing that could’ve happened to me in my situation is finding this amazing person. She is very understanding and very helpful. Together we found the best solutions, set the goals and reached them. Jazmine is very professional on her field. I recommend her 100%!
She’s done a great job so far!
