Jeanne Folks, LPC
About me
With more than 30 years of clinical experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, my clients tell me they most appreciate my patience, insight and good humor. I believe deeply in my clients' abilities to find their truth when met with skill and honesty, offered without judgment. Because many come to me with depression, anxiety, unresolved grief or trauma-based issues, I know how essential it is to feel safe and understood. I use EFT - Meridian Tapping, Havening, CBT, Flash Technique and Mindfulness Practices (as well as good old talk therapy) providing deeply tolerable ways to move through negative, limiting self-beliefs which get in the way of high performance and joyful living.
I do not practice "cookie cutter" therapy - each client is unique in his or her needs. The first thing I do with each person is listen. Then, together, we work out a plan that will meet your needs in the safest, most respectful and efficient way possible. We will explore the resources, of body, mind and spirit, that you already have, and build more tools to ease your way.
I enjoy working with both men and women. I can help you find the person you were truly meant to be. Let go of old hurts and limiting beliefs. Heal and deepen your relationships and live a life filled with a clear and inspired sense of meaning and purpose. I usually check my messages once a day M-F and get back to people within 24-48 hours. Sometimes I can do more, but this is my standard policy.
I have a passion for animals and the healing roll they play in so many of our lives. With this in mind, I work hard to be a good steward of the environment, both physically and emotionally.

I am currently asking Dr. Jeanne Folks to help me with a problem I am facing mentally and emotionally. Dr. Folks helped me to realize what I was feeling was a type of social anxiety. I'm glad that she was able to properly diagnose me and was able to work through my issues. Although things are though, with the guidance provided by Dr. Folk, I am more confident in my ability towards bettering myself and building a more solid foundation of who I am. Thank you so much Dr. Folks
