Dr. Jeffrey Mandelkorn

(PhD)

About Me

I am Dr. Jeffrey D Mandelkorn and I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida. I am born and raised in south Florida and enjoy the variety of cultures and communities we have in the region. I completed my graduate training at Nova Southeastern University's College of Psychology. My graduate school experience sparked a passion for teaching and clinical supervision. After obtaining my psychology license in 2014, I have worked with NSU as an adjunct professor and as an on-site supervisor for psychology trainees. I also opened a private practice and began providing individuals and couples with psychotherapy for a variety of presenting problems and life stressors. When I'm not working, I enjoy playing tennis, cooking, reading, and exploring the mangroves and estuaries on a kayak. Work-life balance is continually a work in progress, and I enjoy all the area has to offer during my down-time.

Dr. M is pretty awesome. He's talked me through quite a bit the last 6 months with many major moves and adjustments in my life. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Mandelkorn is such a strong support in identifying my patterns and triggers and guiding me in strategies to manage those triggers.

I have only had two session with Dr Mandelkorn, but so far I think I have gotten a ton of value out of the therapy.

I look forward to continuing to work with him to navigate the issues I've been having with my family that have caused me extreme anxiety and depression. I already feel a lot better now compared to before I started with the counseling.

I've just gotten started, but Dr. Mandelkorn has been reassuring and knowledgeable on everything we've discussed so far. I've also received a lot of actionable advice that I'll definitely return to as I work through challenges.

Dr. Mandlekorn has always paid attention and given me thoughtful, constructive, understandable analysis and advice. I always feel heard, never rushed, but always pointed in the right direction. He also encourages me to reflect on the goals I have set for therapy and asks open ended questions that reveal other issues once I start thinking about them, very helpful! :)
