About Me

Hello and welcome! I am happy you are here and making yourself a priority. Asking for help is difficult and scary, but here you are doing it anyway. Better Help is a great place to start your journey. My name is Jenna and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in Nebraska. I have been working as a Social Worker in the mental health field for going on 14 years. Throughout this time I have worked to remove the stigma around mental health in order to take the shame away from acknowledging our humanity and seeking help when we are struggling.

I use a client centered and strengths based approach in assisting humans to reach their desired goals. I believe You are the expert on your life and the life you want. I am a support and my expertise a resource that can enable you to make these dreams come alive. I have spent the majority of my Social Work career working with individuals who have experienced trauma, are coping with symptoms of major mental health disorders and individuals struggling with issues around their sexual orientation or gender identity. Through this work I have come to view myself as a healer or someone who can sit with others through the examination of their deepest pain and sorrow. Helping them to process through these difficult emotions and learn how to find the hope for a better tomorrow.

A corner stone of my clinical philosophy is to come from a nonjudgemental stance. It is my priority to create a space in which my clients can feel free to express themselves without shame. Therapy can not work without honesty. Clients need to feel they are able to be honest with themselves and with me. They can only achieve this if there is no fear of judgement. As a Social Worker I am also very action oriented and love to problem solve. Using my skills as an advocate and broker I am great at assisting others in developing action plans and connecting to resources in order to reach their goals.

Words that have frequently been used by my clients to describe me are; compassionate, joyful, loving and enthusiastic. I am here to help in whatever way you feel is best for you! Call, message or video chat with me when you are ready.

Jenna has really been amazing to work with. She lets me vent and does a great job honing in on the issues I have been facing. She is easy to talk to and very professional. I can't imagine seeing anyone else!

She has been so helpful with working through my problems. My mind tends to jump into overdrive and it can be hard to look at things logically, she does a great job of grounding me. She also doesn't hold it against me that I'm a working mother navigating online schoolwork with my son so I cant always respond right away

Jenna is wonderful. She is warm, emphasizes emotional safety and is very client focused yet still speaks with candor and authenticity. I am very grateful to be working with her and I look forward to reaching some of my emotional objectives alongside her support and guidance.

I have only worked with Jenna for a short time, but she has been very helpful to me and incredibly understanding of my position, concerns, and goals. I always feel validated and understood with her. I definitely would recommend her to a friend, especially one working through sexual or relationship trauma!
