About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri, Indiana, and Texas (which can be verified using state licensing board websites) and have been helping people of all ages and different backgrounds for many years. I received my masters in social work at Washington University in St. Louis, one of the top schools of social work in the country. I am dedicated to using these top skills I have learned to help clients find their way and learn their own skills to handle the problems life throws at them and be able to find a sense of peace, belonging, and power over their destiny.
I have worked with clients of all ages, so whether you are 14, 24, 44, or 84 I am here to support you. I have worked with clients with a variety of challenges and concerns, such as those who have experienced depression, anxiety, grief, emotional trauma, abuse, loss, pain, relationship problems, and major life changes. I often focus on helping clients with anxiety, stress, depression, bipolar disorder, going through life changes, or are HSPs. I am certified as a registered play therapist and have used this with young children, teens, and also younger and older adults to help them communicate and process things in different ways and what is most effective for them. I like to use creativity with clients to help them express themselves and cope with challenges. Other times I can provide practical steps to guide clients through problems they are facing. I have helped people to talk through everyday difficulties, problem solve, improve communication, explore their identities, manage stress, find their strengths, and take steps to make life changes to live the life they want to live.
I often use a systemic and humanistic approach with aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, narrative, motivational interviewing, and more to help people deal with individual issues. I am person centered and use what works best for each person, letting individuals choose what they want to discuss first as we take things in steps to improve a variety of areas of life they may be struggling with.
I know it can be difficult to reach out for support. I am here to help along side you to make changes in order to heal and feel happier. I am here to listen and empower you whenever you are ready.

Jenna has helped me get to a point in life where I am happy, stable, and have the tools I need to address my problems. She has helped me open up about my emotions and evaluate situations and myself in a more realistic, fair, and compassionate way. I am able to end therapy for the first time in years. I can't express how wonderful it has been to work with Jenna. She was there when I needed her, gave me space when I needed it, and shaped therapy around what I needed.

Jenna is awesome and she really cares about my problems. It almost seems like she cares more than I do! I don't think I've ever had a counselor who has an attitude like that and it's heartwarming. She offers outside opportunities and resources. But I think most importantly is that she listens more than she talks. I've been able to share things with Jenna, things that naturally came out after rambling, that I haven't ever shared with anyone else.

I wasn't sure about online counseling, at first, but then Jenna and I started talking via email. I felt she listened to the various things I had to say and responded to me in a timely manner. I felt supported and comfortable opening up to her. She cared about me and kept in contact with me if I became too busy to get back to her within a couple of days. I appreciated her non-judgmental and objective perspective. Her guidance led me in the direction I needed to go next, and so I did. Confidently. Thanks for listening, Jenna, and for helping me find a way.

Work with me!
