Jennifer Brigman

About Me

Hello and welcome to Betterhelp! My name is Jennifer. I have both Master’s and Education Specialist degrees with a concentration in Couples and Family counseling. I’ve worked as a licensed therapist in North Carolina for 11 years. I work frequently with difficult relationship dynamics whether in families or among romantic partners. I do quite a bit of work in trauma recovery, anxiety and stress reduction, resiliency building, and identity development. Mine is a holistic, positive, supportive approach that promotes self-awareness and the interruption of unhelpful patterns of thoughts and behaviors that lead to being "stuck". I teach mindfulness, yogic interventions and encourage gratitude and curiosity in my clients!

I'm a good fit for those who are struggling to understand themselves or their relationships as well as those who continue to meet obstacles in creating the kind of lives and relationships they'd like. Presenting concerns may include PTSD/trauma symptoms, anxiety, depression, intense anger, difficulty coping or transitioning, challenges with relationships, and poor body image (with or without eating concerns).

In my spare time I enjoy hiking, beekeeping and chasing my two sons! I hope we are a good fit and look forward to connecting with you.

Jennifer is a great listener, offers good insight, and responds with thoughts and ideas specific to your situation. She’s also personable and easy to talk to. I look forward to continuing to work with her.

Jennifer was very helpful and gave me good techniques to get through hard stuff. Awesome with her analogies. Good person who thoroughly wants to help.

The best way to put Jennifer's practice would be a friend with the professional knowledge in the field.

Jennifer is amazing. After I write a long bombarded message full of chaos and being all over the place, Jennifer, with a few simple words and sentences diffuses chaotic situations to peace, clarity and serenity. Within a few lines, my perspective of the situation has been completely transformed. She always knows how to take the pressure off and make everything ok again. She is so adaptable to anything you say to her from giving amazing techniques, reading material, or simply validating your feelings or helping to understand yours and others feelings. And most of all she makes counseling fun! I’ve never been able to say that before!

From the past few days of our conversations, chatting with her makes me feel at ease. It really is precious to me that someone actively listens and tries to understand to what I have to say and to how I really feel. No one really does except her. My deepest regards.
