About me

Welcome to my Better Help page. My name is Jennifer Charles and I am an Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) located in Texas. I have four years of clinical experiencing working with diverse populations including children, teens and adults. My therapeutic experience and training spans in a variety of different areas including Depression, Anxiety, Couple/Relational Problems, Parenting Related Issues, Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) , Stress Management, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (combat trauma , sexual trauma, natural disaster), and Grief.

My therapeutic approach is client centered, meaning I focus on meeting my clients where they are emotionally. The therapeutic process is collaborative as I believe my clients are a significant part of the treatment process. I will work alongside you in your therapeutic process while challenging and supporting you. My approach draws from theoretic approaches such as Solution Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing as well as the Systemic Approach to treatment.
