I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Virginia and California (LMFT). I have been working in the field since 2010 with adults, teens, children, couples, and families in both outpatient and residential settings. Clients I have worked with have experienced a wide range of challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, relationship issues, bipolar, OCD, grief/loss, crisis, and adjustment issues.
My counseling style is person-centered, meaning I take the time to get to know you and how your concerns are effecting your daily routine. I draw from a combination of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, humanistic and trauma-informed therapies. My approach is eclectic, employing strategies from multiple theories in order to best match your needs as an individual. My communication style is warm and strengths-based, our dialog and treatment plan will reflect that.
It takes courage to seek support and make the first steps toward change for a happier future. If you are ready to take those steps, I am here to support and empower you along that journey.

Really wonderful counselor. Takes the time to check in on you. I feel like I’ve made progress so far!
Jennifer is very supportive and seems to cut through the minutia to get to the heart of the problems. She also provides useful strategies, planning and follow to deal with the identified issues. Besides that Jenifer is easy to talk to and seems non-judgmental and professional.
She is always reaching out and concerned for me
