Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona with over 20 years counseling experience . I have experience working with people of all ages with a wide range of concerns. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient, residential and crisis settings. Specifically, I help people with anxiety and depressive disorders, relationship and family issues, codependency, trauma issues, stress-management, and life adjustment issues.
There are many tools in a therapist's toolbox with which to help. I want to take time to get to know you and what brings you here. From there, we will decide what approach may be the most effective for you. I typically find that cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma- informed approaches and mindfulness training can be helpful in many situations. My approach is warm and authentic. I am genuinely interested in helping you live your best life, as you define it.
I look forward to partnering with you on your journey of self-discovery. I commend you for your courage and together we will work to define goals and a method that works for you.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jennifer Cook. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I'm 47 and have been in therapy off and on since I was 9 years old. Jennifer is by far the best therapist I have ever had and I feel so grateful to have found her. She was helpful from the first session. And she didn't need all the details of trauma to give guidance toward healing and moving forward. She looks at the impact of the issues and offers tools and solutions. Truly thankful to have her help during a tough time.
In my experience so far, Jennifer has given me tools to help deal with my issues. She listens, allows me to express my main concerns, and helps me come up with a plan on what to do moving forward. But she does not give me false empathy or say 'there there'. She is direct and genuine, and she is there to help me improve, not be stagnate.
