Dr. Jennifer Drabowicz, LPC
About me
Hello there. I am glad you are here and perhaps starting your journey to healing and recovering from whatever it is that you sense or know is blocking you from living at your highest potential. I am Dr. Jennifer Drabowicz and I am a licensed professional counselor/mental health service provider in Memphis, TN. I have been working professionally for over 10 years following my graduation from the University of Memphis.
Although my journey as a counseling professional has afforded me the opportunity to work in numerous areas and settings, I primarily specialize in working with adults with a history of trauma, PTSD/Complex-PTSD, dissociation/dissociative disorders, self-harm/suicidal ideations, grief/loss, anxiety (including panic disorders and phobias), depression, and Borderline Personality Disorder. My approach to counseling is integrative, blended, and uniquely tailored to the needs and goals of my clients. I practice from a humanistic, person-centered approach with an existential, psychodynamic, and experiential focus. I have been trained to use EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, all of which I've been able to successfully facilitate via telehealth. I also incorporate approaches and interventions from Internal Family Systems, trauma-focused somatic approaches, Sensorimotor psychotherapy, mindfulness, Revisioning, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I also have no reservations working from a depth psychology and transpersonal perspective, often incorporating spirituality to allow for deeper healing and personal growth.
Outside of my counseling practice, I have experience teaching at the graduate school level in Counselor Education at the University of Memphis. It is a joy to work with future counseling professionals as they learn about themselves while learning to help others. Personally, I am a book lover and avid consumer of knowledge. I love animals (and am proud to call myself a mom to many four-legged creatures). I love being active and outside. I also enjoy spending time with my family.
