About Me

Many times the journey in life is not pleasant but it is doable. In my 20 years of mental health counseling experience in Nebraska, I have seen so many people during very painful periods of their life come out the other side and triumph. I believe it is my role as a counselor to meet you where you are and walk that journey with you providing you with insights, clarity and tools. My approach is strengths based and solution focused. I believe it is important to live in our strengths and treat those difficult moments in life as growth opportunities.

I received my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and have added certifications in Financial Social Work Counseling and Wellness Coaching. In addition to being strengths based and solution focused, I draw upon cognitive behavioral approaches, systems theory and trauma informed therapy. My clinical experience includes working with teens and adults from all backgrounds who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, relationship concerns, addictions and/or traumatic events. I have experience working with law enforcement and fire and rescue after traumatic events. I am comfortable with any person in any topic area.

I believe in creating a safe, supportive, judgement free environment where each person is free to be genuine and grow. Navigating life can be difficult and asking for help can be just as difficult. By providing a safe environment to explore life's difficulties I hope to facilitate personal growth for my clients.
