About me

Reaching out for help takes a very brave person and I recognize just how scary it can be. I have been providing counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 15 years in various settings (community outpatient, in-home counseling, and private practice etc.) with children, adolescents and adults. My experience includes working with clients that are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, alcohol/drug addiction, life transitions/changes, relationship conflicts among other things. I started my career in Georgia and have been practicing in North Carolina since 2013.
I really enjoy helping others recognize their own strengths and be able to provide the support and guidance needed to utilize that strength. Mainly, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which just means helping you to understand how your beliefs influence your feelings and behaviors and then ways to modify those beliefs to help you achieve your goals for life and for therapy. Other types of therapy I use is humanistic, person-centered and reality therapy; however, my belief is the relationship between therapist and client is the most important factor in a client making changes. I will meet you where you are and and we will collaborate together ways to reach your therapy goals, small and big. I aim to provide a safe, supportive, sometimes humorous, but when needed challenging environment. I look forward to working with you and helping you on your journey.

Jennifer has been excellent in helping me move through a rough period in my life. I am going through the ending of an engagement and she has been there to help guide and support me. Also, to focus on myself and work to better myself to better my future relationships as well.
