I am a Mental Health counselor who has been in the field for over 5 years. I have worked with a wide range of people ranging in age from 10-65 and working on issues related to depression, anxiety, stress, addiction, trauma/abuse, parenting, self-worth, grief, and so much more. While working at a drug and alcohol rehab center I had the opportunity to work with clients who have struggled with trauma and abuse and how that impacted their lives. I also was privileged to see how much these survivors grew because they were able to talk about the trauma without being shamed or looked down on.
My counseling style is empathetic and compassionate. I believe everyone has their own unique story to tell and that by telling this story freedom and growth can occur. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. My approach is eclectic focusing mostly on cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and shame resilience. Your concerns and needs will direct our conversations and treatment plan to meet your specific needs.
Choosing to seek help is a huge step to healing and growth, whether it is to develop better stress coping skills, deal with the loss of a loved one, or to process through some very painful traumatic experiences. I am here for you to help you on this journey.
I look forward to spending more time with you and working with you.

Jennifer has been wonderful!! Always there when I’m falling, helping understand life a little better. Putting God in our conversation and leaning on Him. Absolutely love Jennifer and the short time I’ve got to meet her.
She’s has helped me open my eyes Even though it’s been a short period of time she has made me sit back and look at the whole picture in this think about OK this is why this is happening and this is why this is happening and then also she sends me a little quotes on a daily basis on just how to read and understand the whole picture
Jennifer pulled me through probably the darkest time of my life so far with her expertise and knowledge about a quite complex personality that I have to deal with. She is literally a lifesaver to me. Without her I probably would have wasted a lot of time chasing my tail with frustration and confusion.
Jennifer has helped me work through many things with myself and with my family. Her kind yet strong approach is perfect.
Jennifer has helped me through a rough time in my life. I'm so glad I signed up for BetterHelp and have had her as my counselor.
Jennifer is truly a blessing - so compassionate and caring. She’s truly passionate about her concern to help others even when I get in my state and just don’t respond. She never gives up on me. And she continues to reach out or even send some inspirational hope. I’m truly thankful. Jennifer, you’re truly an inspiration. You should be so proud. You make a difference to people. You change people’s lives.
Jennifer has helped open my eyes. She also sends me helpful information so that I can work on when I'm feeling down, or to remind me what I love about myself.
Jennifer has been my secret helper for awhile. I didn't tell anyone about my issues and with her help, I was able to confide in someone and get help along the way. So thank you! I am happier now and she has given me the tools to be happier.
She is very uplifting and helps a lot! She checks up on me a lot, so its nice to have that feeling of someone caring! Highly recommend!
She is very patient with me - even when I'm a flake, she still remains gentle and encourages me to remain positive! It's been an amazing experience so far!
I feel safe talking to Jennifer and she helps me see what I’m not seeing sometimes.
I don't say this lightly; Jennifer has been like an angel to me. I joined BetterHelp timid and unsure of what to expect. I've not been in any form of counseling before and years of ignoring my mental health had me in a pretty dark and confusing mindset. Now half a year into working with Jennifer, I am so thankful for her steadfast and compassionate guidance. Having bipolar, I have re-occurring times of being 'down' along with other complications, and she has never led me to feel like I am not trying hard enough or at fault for this. Her support is always there. If I need a few days to go into sleep-and-recovery mode she always respects that, instead of trying to snap me out of it (like some well-meaning friends incorrectly try to do which as you may know doesn't necessarily work too well with chronic mental illness), she's just there, gently checking in on me every couple of days, ready and willing to help.
I don't know how to sum it up any better: I just can't imagine having a more compassionate and supportive counselor and I'm excited at the thought of how much more I'll have learned in another 6 months from now.
I presented Jennifer with a rather unique situation and she did her best to understand and offer solutions and advice. She always answered in a timely manner and I looked forward to opening her mail every day.
I like her because she responds to me as life is happening. I don't have to wait until our next session. She helps with the here and now!
Ms. Jennifer is great. She listens and always response in a helpful manner. I made the right decision speaking with her about my issues!
Jennifer is kind, detail oriented and very professional about anything I have told her. She gets back to me in a timely manner and I feel that I can open up to her. I feel as if I've made major progress, even though I've only been using this app for a while. I'm so happy that I got paired with Jennifer.
Jennifer has been really patient with me and has really comprehended in helping me with my situation.
I have anxiety about working through feelings, putting them down in words and letting someone else read them. Jennifer has helped me feel safe doing that and is great at following up with me. I’m so glad she is here to help me.
While I have not been in this relationship very long, Jennifer has given me good feedback and has shown insight into my issues. I enjoy communicating with her very much and think it has helped me a lot to get a better perspective on my difficulties and problems.
Jennifer asks important questions which help me to dig deeper and find the root causes of what is troubling me. She checks in with me frequently if she doesn't hear from me.
I've been working with Jennifer for about 3 weeks now and she has been amazing. She asks me the right questions to get me thinking, which helps me to figure out what it is I need to do. I am very, very impressed with her understanding of a very complicated mental disorder. I just cannot say enough about how she has helped me. I was in therapy for many years and I didn't learn near as much about myself as I have since beginning to work with her.
Jennifer is absolutely wonderful. She listens, seems to genuinely understand and care about your concerns, and offers gentle advice without seeming condescending or dismissive. She's obviously a deeply empathetic counselor with a natural, easy-going approach. I found it very easy to open up to her.
Jennifer always makes sure you are doing well and respects the thinking space for responding. She challenges you to think about the big picture and steps to progress not perfection.
I absolutely love her. I feel so comfortable and I feel like she actually cares.
I've only been talking with Jennifer a few days, but she has been insightful. Encouraging. Willing to help.
Very helpful. She is helping me get through a very hard time in my life right now.
