Life is hard, But I can help.
My name if Jennifer Forbes and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families in times of crisis. Crisis can come in many forms: financial, relational, familial, social, academic, identity, career, etc.
My work focuses on understanding what is not working, developing a customized plan to address it, and implementing strategies to overcome it. My counseling style is pretty laid back and direct. I have been described as a good listener, supportive, collaborative, and a problem solver.
If you are wondering if counseling is for you, consider it from this lens. When your health is falling apart, you go to a doctor. When your car is falling apart, you go to a mechanic. What do you do when your life feels like it is falling apart? One way is to seek help from a counselor.

Jennifer is attentive and reassuring. She offers her expertise in a way that keeps me safe and confident and also with such a reflective tone. I'm grateful. She feels like a friend I can trust, but that helps me get through some of the hardest things in life!

My weekly "dates" with Jennifer quickly became one of the few things I looked forward to every week even when she makes me do things I did not have fun doing... but were necessary steps in the process. I am very grateful for her continuous support and help and she has been key to my happiness! <3

I've only been working with Jennifer for a few months and I can already feel a change in myself. Setting goals and learning to trust myself is easier thanks to her help and support.
