About Me

When your health is falling apart, you go to a doctor. When your car is falling apart, you go to a mechanic. When your house is falling apart, you call a repair man. What do you do when your life is falling apart? You have come to the right place and I am so glad you are reaching out for help.

Murphy's Law is a rule that states, “If something can go wrong, it will.” An addition to this law reads, “and usually at the worst time.” If you are going through a crisis, then you know this is true. They can show up in many forms: financial, relational, familial, social, identity, career, etc.

I have worked with many individuals, couples and families guiding them through times of crisis. We will walk together in this season until you get to the other side. Whatever it takes and no matter how long. My goal is to work with you to repair what's been broken, restore what's been lost and rebuild with what's been learned!

You know you're in a crisis when you are overwhelmed. You can't fix it. You've tried everything that you know in your power to do, and it hasn't worked. Nothing seems to work! Please know that you are not alone. There is Hope!

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to serve you in this season of life. I look forward to seeing what healing, discoveries and opportunities this season produces in you!

Warmest Regards,
Jennifer M Forbes, LMFT

I've only been working with Jennifer for a few months and I can already feel a change in myself. Setting goals and learning to trust myself is easier thanks to her help and support.

Jennifer is the best! She helped me understand and create my goals, which were previously intense and confusing to me. I have gained clarity through out our sessions. I am grateful for her energy and wisdom. She created a safe and comforting space for me to experience my emotions, and always asked me the perfect questions. I appreciate that she sent me resourceful links and checked on me between sessions. I felt supported the entire time. :-)

Jennifer is very kind and understanding. She is also very funny and down to earth. She makes therapy feel fun and something to look forward to. Her positivity has really helped me get through some tough times.

Truly an amazing counselor! I suffered from debilitating panic attacks, trauma from my past, and a phobia of driving my car; with Jennifer’s cognitive behavioral techniques and ability to listen before giving advice, I was able to over come most of what was pulling me down! If there’s ever a moment in the future where I need mental health help, I would 100% go back to her. The great thing is, she’s down to earth, but also knows what she’s talking about! I do think sometimes it’s a little deeper than what we think… and going to her helped me sort through, not just the surface, but the deeper issues. Most importantly, I never felt judged.

She was readily available whenever I sent messages, and never missed a meeting! She continuously check in and had me complete forms that helped her to get the whole picture and me to see on paper what I needed to work through! She has a gift, and is meant to do what she’s doing; helping us. Thank you for everything!

Jennifer has helped (and is helping) me so much over from our sessions. I was suffering a lot in quarantine, feeling trapped, and also struggling with my insecurities & feeling lost. Jennifer is helping me identify what I can do to help change my thinking patterns to live a happier, mentally healthier, life -- I'm so grateful for her as a therapist.

First time doing therapy and Jennifer has made it really easy and comfortable for me to open up and talk. I also really like that she is available on messages and she gets back to me whenever she can. I feel Jennifer has helped me stay motivated to work on my goals and work on myself. I’m excited for the outcome of this therapy
