About me

I have been an individual and family therapist licensed in Missouri and Illinois . In my practice, I have served those coping with anxiety, stress, depression, substance abuse, parenting challenges, and a plethora of other issues. I have extensive experience working with victims of childhood abuse and trauma.

I bring a strength based perspective to all situations. I believe that everyone has strengths they can draw upon to work through life's challenges and hardships. My therapeutic approach is a mixture of cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and integrative therapies. Everyone is unique and therapy sessions must be individualized as well.

Reaching out for help is admirable and no easy task. I'm glad you have taken that first step and I look forward to talking with you.

Jennifer Garland is an amazing therapist. Her experience, expertise and professionalism is unparalleled. As a Christian and Catholic looking for a counselor who is not only professionally qualified in the field i needed support in but is also Christian and understands my situation, I feel extremely blessed. I could not have had a better counselor the past 8 months. I’ll continue to use her and would recommend her to anyone.

Talking to Jennifer feels like you’re talking to a friend. She’s super easy to talk to, insightful, and nonjudgmental which is huge for me. She helps me sort through my thoughts and gives me reassurance and praise, which was something I didn’t know I needed sometimes. I would recommend her to anyone!
