About me

Hello, my name is Jennifer, and welcome to your 'safe space'. Feeling truly heard and listened to can make the difference to help you explore what is happening for you right now; and to you getting to know and understand yourself to do things differently.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ; and I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Being an integrative psychotherapist means I have a client-centred approach to counselling. I am trained in different modalities - and this means working with you collaboratively; we can tailor the right intervention which supports your process; providing an opportunity for you to develop a stronger sense of self; supporting you to recognise your own attitudes, feelings and behaviour; and empowering you to find your own true positive 'self', and reach your full potential.

I do this by creating a consistent, appropriate safe, non-judgemental environment; where you will experience my communicating congruence (genuineness), empathy, and unconditional positive regard towards you. The non-directive approach I use enables you to find your own solutions to your problems and concerns.

Confidentiality: our therapeutic relationship is built on trust, the foundation that is fundamental to your process of healing, your growth, your personal development. I, too, am committed to continuing my personal and professional development. I have recently completed my Doctorate as a clinical psychologist

I have previously worked for : The Priory ] The NHS ] The Probation Service ] Drug & Alcohol service ] Mental Health] Primary and Secondary schools. I currently work for the Home Office.

Jennifer has been absolutely fantastic over the last 15 months or so that I have been in therapy.
I was at rock bottom when I had my first session with her and since then she has helped me so much I cannot begin to say.
I would recommend her absolutely.

I switched my therapist to Jennifer and it was the best decision I’ve made! I wanted more than just a listening ear and she’s been really helpful in giving me solutions to deal with my self worth/self love/anxiety. She’s really passionate about what she does and she always listens attentively! She also makes sure to check in with me every now and then to see how I’m doing. Thank you Jennifer! (:
