About me

Hello! My name is Jen and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Wisconsin with over 15 years of experience in the helping fields. I received my Masters in School Social Work from UW -Madison in 2022, my Masters in Clinical Social Worker from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN) in 2015 and my Bachelors in Political Science from UW-Eau Claire in 2009.

I have practiced in a wide variety of settings including a college counseling center, K-12 school district, community based clinic, home based therapy and in a hospital setting. In these experiences, I have learned that the best way to help is to listen and ask exactly what I can do to help. I may not have all of the answers, but together, I believe that we can work to find solutions and support that will make things easier for you.

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I am certified as a Trauma Specialist with the NCTSN, having provided trauma and abuse therapy in almost every setting that I have worked. I see trauma and difficult life circumstances as events in time, rather than the base that defines you! I believe in person-centered treatment, meaning that I focus on mutual respect, sensitivity, compassion and unconditional positive regard.

At times, clients have asked me about specific diagnosis and modalities that I use for treatment. While I recognize diagnosis and treatment as important parts of the therapeutic process, my primary focus in therapy is relationship development and trust. I am trained in multiple interventions including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Process Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy and other Humanistic approaches. As your therapist, I will work with you to build goals and a treatment plan that meet your unique and specific needs.

When people are seeking therapy, they are often times at a difficult or low point in their life. I recognize the courage that it takes to take the first step to sign up for therapy! Congratulations on engaging in the most difficult part! I am proud of you for getting started.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Jennifer Kronenberg. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

To put it lightly I love Jen, she listens, she challenges but asks first, she makes you question yourself but also says go easy on you when you are being so hard on yourself. I am so grateful for the relationship I have with her as my therapist. I have seen so much growth myself and her to help me unpack it all is simply a great thing that I hope everyone can find that from their therapist

I find Jennifer to be a great therapist. Being that she is a trauma specialist, she can really understand the effects of my childhood trauma and how I react to things now. She does a great job explaining how the brain works and how I can "retrain" it to respond in more healthier ways. She does all this while displaying genuine compassion and empathy. I highly recommend Jennifer has a therapist. I look forward to our weekly sessions.
