Hello! Thank you for reaching out. Acknowledging our challenges and asking for help is hard, but it is also the first step to living a life you love. I believe that meaningful change can happen through a supportive, therapeutic relationship where one feels safe to process life experiences and practice new strategies. Therapy can be intimidating and requires a level of vulnerability that isn't always easy. My style is relaxed and down-to-earth with just the right amount of humor to make this process feel safe and authentic. I love this platform because it takes therapy out of the office and allows us to connect in a way that is most comfortable and convenient for you. I respond to messages often in order to provide real-time support and suggestions.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from George Mason University in Virginia. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I began my career in 2010 providing community psychoeducation to families through a nonprofit organization. Since then I have worked in a variety of settings, including community-based mental health, outpatient therapy, and an inpatient psychiatric unit. I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, family and relationship conflicts, and other challenges. I have experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, family systems, and mentalization-based treatment.
Thank you for taking the time to read a bit more about my approach. I look forward to partnering with you as you take this first step towards lasting change.

I’ve only been working with Jennifer for a short period of time, but within that time span she has made herself as available as possible, and has tried to work around mine and her schedule. She definitely helps me see things from a different point of view and is very supportive in every aspect. Although we just started working together, I am very excited for the progress I’m sure we will have in the future.
Jennifer has made herself available from the moment we matched. I really needed to talk to someone right away and it seemed impossible but she made it work in her schedule. With the short time we have been working together I have seen so much progress in my mental health and the way I approach new challenges even without her help. She has given me skills to use for the rest of my life and I can’t thank her enough for helping me.
Very, very grateful for Jennifer as she is one of the only councilors I have ever been comfortable with. She is caring and doesn't make you feel as though you are an inconvenience or wrong for your feels. She is very responsive and takes the time to understand what you say and provide valuable feedback.
