I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of New England. I have been working in the field for over 6 years and have a broad range of experience in mental health treatment, helping people across the life span who are in crisis or are having difficulty coping with major life transitions. I have experience with major life transitions, addiction, depression, anxiety and mood disorders, coping skills, LGBTQ, parenting issues, women’s issues and grief and bereavement. I am certified in Psychological First Aid and Post Trauma Stress Management.
My style is engaging and direct but also respectful and nonjudgmental, and I have been told I have a good sense of humor. I use a client-centered, solution-focused approach that draws on different therapeutic modalities, primarily CBT, Mindfulness and Motivational interviewing. Counseling can help you manage stress, have better relationships, and build coping skills to better confront life’s challenges.
Congratulations on taking the first step towards change. I look forward to working with you.

Love Jennifer’s practical and actionable approach. She shoots straight and listens well.
I was happy that she was able to help me in my situation at work.
She knew what I was dealing with and trying to help me not worry to much about.
I was able to clam down just a bit. But she always telling me to relax and thing will get better. But if situation comes to a bad way, always keep your head up high.
you have family and friends support.
Even in the short amount of time I have worked with Jennifer, I feel improvement in my mental health already and extremely supported in my goals of improving my mental health. She is firm in helping you see the truth of your thoughts and helping you think clearly, all while being caring and understanding, and trying to get to the root of the problem. I would recommend her to anyone dealing with anxiety and/or depression.
Jennifer Long listens to my concerns, understands my situations & provides feedback that helps me work through & execute decisions in a positive and productive manner! Highly recommend!!!
I would highly recommend Jennifer because of the valuable results she has delivered towards my mental health.
I have felt remarkable relief of my issues and empowerment to grow beyond my expectations.
I appreciate the support of Jennifer and she has given me support and advice verbally and sent me resources. She is very knowledgeable in my issues
I still turn to Jen in moments of distress and find her expertise, advice, and support calming until I can cope on my own. Jen knows what she's talking about and has insight and perspective that really helps. She's also great with feedback from me and betterhelp.com did a great job of matching me with her! Thanks :)
Jennifer is excellent! A phenomenal listener and very down to earth. Highly recommend for anyone going through a hard time.
I've been working with Jennifer for 2 weeks now. I feel like she cares about me, which is really important to me. She is solution based, which I appreciate.
