About me

Hello, my name is Jennifer Moon. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/Indiana & Illinois) with over twenty years of experience working in the Helping Professions.

I developed a deep affinity for counseling others at a very young age. As a teenager, I began serving the elderly population in my community and in my early twenties I provided support to those living in Mexico, the Netherlands, and West Africa. After completion of my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, I pursued attainment of an advanced degree in Social Work in order to operate at my optimal level to assist individuals like you with achieving needed change.

I believe change is constant and inevitable and that a small change can lead to a bigger one. I can assist with the provision of a non-judgmental, warm, and accepting space in which to share your personal thoughts and feelings.

I have provided a copy of my Informed Consent (a.k.a. "Membership Form") on the platform which you will be asked to review and sign upon accepting me as your therapist. Within this form, my on-boarding instructions found under REQUIRED INFORMATION will help guide you in taking the next steps.

I typically integrate the Strengths perspective, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Somatic Psychotherapy into my sessions which are proven methods for achieving success in many of our individual journeys. I believe every person is unique, and we have the inherent strength and resources to help ourselves. Together we can develop, explore, create, and co-author an evolving story of possibilities and opportunities for you! So let's get started...

Jennifer is very astute and intoned to her practice. I feel like she's ready and waiting to help solve small problems to help with getting life to run more smoothly. She is kind and extremely empathetic to the therapy journey. She makes me feel like I'm not alone and I'm not a bad or weak person for choosing to try and make my life perspective better to better my life.

Just the kindest and warmest human who truly wants to help others and be there for them. She came into my life at a time of absolute necessity and I couldn’t be more thankful for her and her words that have helped propel me even just an inch forward. She’s wonderful.

I am so grateful to have Jennifer in my life. Her kind soul, peaceful nature and reassuring words have always brought me warmth when I felt alone in my feelings and experiences. She has provided her gentle insight and compassion to me and shows she truly cares every session and in between. I am someone who has been stuck in a dark, and seemingly inescapable place, and with the help of Jennifer I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Through all my ups and downs, I have a consistent hope that I will make it through and one day I’ll be able to move past just surviving and thrive. Having Jennifer as my therapist has made a huge positive impact on my life, as she reminds me of the beauties and possibilities in living while also being empathetic and understanding how hard it can be to heal. She has helped me to truly believe that I can finally live again and learn to love, care for, forgive, and have patience with myself, even after trauma. She has given me so many priceless tools and information that really work for me and have been helping me to heal in my everyday life. I am forever thankful to her for guiding me through my path to recovery and helping me gain a new perspective on the incredible and hope filled journey of life.

Jennifer has been one of the most wonderful people I've met! She's helped me work through some really tough times and gave me the tools I need to work through situations in the future, and tools to help me avoid putting myself in situations. She was a shining star in my darkest times and helped me respark my own shine.
