Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Minnesota. I received my Master of Arts degree in marriage and family therapy from Argosy University, and my Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the College of St. Benedict/St. John's University. I have 6+ years of clinical experience, working in a variety of settings. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples, who are experiencing a variety of concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family concerns, personality disorders, pedophilic/paraphilic disorders, and those with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
I work from a systemic and relationship-based perspective, utilizing a variety of techniques in order to assist others in identifying meaningful relationships and goals for their lives. I am driven to learn from others and to provide a supportive environment where people can come to uncover or rediscover their strengths and unique contributions to our community, and to develop goals to help assist in making meaningful and lasting change. I do my very best to foster a counseling environment that is warm, interactive, non-judgmental, and is a safe place to share what is truly on one's mind and heart. I believe in treating everyone with respect, honesty, empathy, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I will shape our conversation and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I believe it truly takes courage and bravery to reach out and ask for help when you're struggling, to take steps towards a more happy and fulfilling life, and to take steps towards making meaningful change. If you are ready to take the leap to achieving such goals, I am ready and willing to help, support, and empower you in any way that I can.
I look forward to working with you!

Jennifer has been amazing about checking in on me. After getting set up with her, my life has become super chaotic and I haven't been able to have sessions with her but she is always checking in on me and I really appreciate that!
I look forward to my conversations with Jennifer every week. She is good at researching topics we have talked about to find me new avenues to explore. She's very encouraging. She will also offer different ideas in a respectful way. I enjoy working with her on my health and feel comfortable being vulnerable and honest her.
Jennifer really helped me think of things to manage my stress, anxiety and depression. I really appreciate her help.
Jennifer is a very understanding and helpful outlet to have that is different than family and friends! She gives prompt feedback and advice. She always makes sure to check in every few days so that feels good to have her in your corner! I highly recommend her to others!
Sessions with Jennifer feel like chatting with a friend - comfortable, safe, easy, with no awkward silence. I’m so thankful for an option to pursue therapy from the comfort of my own home.
Jennifer is extremely helpful and personable. We were able to relate within the first few minutes of speaking, and she was able to help me feel comfortable talking to her about my personal life and struggles. I would highly recommend her and this service to anyone looking for some extra help and support in their life.
Jennifer has been extremely responsive and supportive. She checks in when I haven't messaged in a couple days and has offered to extend our live sessions. I have already recommended better help to a number of friends as I have found it to be so beneficial.
It's been unbelievably helpful to have Jennifer's kind, non-judgemental ear. I have at times dumped everything weighing on my mind or that's gotten me all worked up, and she shows via her responses that she's truly read it all and listened.
I'll be honest, from time to time I've wanted someone to be fueled up about something with me, but Jennifer has stayed calm and not fed into this/played along. I get a sense that she knows that doing so would not help my healing process or make me a better able to handle my emotions.
Jennifer has shared helpful worksheets/tools, which at times discuss tools I know really well. I have always been grateful for the reminders that I have said tools at my disposal.
BetterHelp's options and Jennifer's counseling style are a good fit for me.
Jennifer always makes time to make sure that I don’t feel down while I’m going through tough challenges. She gives me affirmations as well as advice. I appreciate that she always check in on me.
I honestly want to thank her for being so patient with my responses and helping me out the best she can. It means a lot to me, especially since I'm under a lot of stress and feeling a lot of anxiety.
