Hi there! My name is Jena Salvi and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher based in California. I am honored to hold space for you if you choose to work with me. I strongly believe you should be picky about your providers. A therapist who may not be the right fit for you can be discouraging and damaging! I encourage you to read many profiles and find one that speaks to you!
I love making therapy fun and exciting for my clients. I want you to end each session with more hope for the future, more peace in the present and more compassion for yourself.
I currently run Regulate Trauma Informed Therapy, a successful private practice in Northern California. Before that I worked for 5 years as a Lead Outpatient Therapist at Pacific Counseling and Trauma Center, a premiere center for PTSD and Complex Trauma. I have also worked closely with the LGBTQ community and specialize in Gender Dysphoria and Gender Transitioning. Another speciality of mine is sexual issues: sexual abuse, sexual addiction, couples intimacy and sexual repression.
I run a Women’s Sexual Assault Survivor group and a Men’s group.

Jennifer was extremely helpful and resourceful throughout my time with her. She helped me address aspects of my trauma by allowing my body to heal through EMDR. Additionally, she recommended helpful books to speed up my recovery. Jennifer was one of the best therapists I’ve ever had and I’m extremely grateful to have worked with her. Thank you!
Jennifer is a wonderful partner-in-crime when it comes to working through what one needs to work through. She was able to help me prioritize my therapy goals; always recommends good follow-up resources for me to look into in between sessions; is open to communicating across different platforms; and lets me set the pace. She also is extremely intuitive in terms of what communication style feels most comfortable, and I appreciate her approach immensely. She was the first practitioner I matched with on BetterHelp, and after our first session, I didn't feel the need to look for anyone else.
