About Me

"You will face many defeats in your life, but never let yourself be defeated” Maya Angelou.

Life is full of positive moments where the strength to define ourselves and develop skills to live more fully are easily found. But when life becomes whittled with challenges, stress, and struggles, the test then becomes learning to navigate our feelings, recognize our thoughts, and make changes in our behavior to live more wholly. Most of the time we are capable of handling life’s stresses, but sometimes things can get too overwhelming and stressful, and we need help.

Licensed in the state of California, I work with clients who struggle with symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, relationship problems and life transitions (marriage, break-up/divorce, becoming a parent, moving, becoming independent, grief and loss, etc.). My counseling style is warm and collaborative, and utilizes evidence based practices. I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I provide my clients with a safe and non-judgmental space, where together we address treatment goals, build on strengths, and support opportunities for change. Each client is unique, and treatment is tailored to fit your specific needs.

I have been in and out of therapy for years and I have to say Jennifer is one of the best therapist I’ve come across. She’s helping me with a variety of challenges, including chronic pain, anxiety, depression and cognitive behavior therapy for trauma. She’s given me such insightful tactics for managing so many different topics. She used humor to help me feel like I can talk to her about anything and is extremely easy to open up to. I feel so lucky I found her as my therapist. She’s amazing!!

She’s great and compassionate. She has helped me to celebrate even the smallest wins on this journey. Crucial to seeing your success. She knows how to calm me down. She doesn’t give in either. She always presents an exercise at the end of our sessions.

Jennifer is so shining and wise. She really understands circumstances, and isn’t afraid to challenge you. She’s also very motivating in her words. She does not judge, and listens to what you are and are not saying. She’s good at reading you as well and helping you see things about yourself you haven’t before.

Jennifer is so lovely, I connected with her immediately. She's vibrant and positive but empathetic to your struggles and concerns and doesn't make you feel judged or silly for feeling the way you feel. She's really good at bringing you back down when your thoughts start creating stories that aren't based in reality and aren't serving you or your goals in any way. I'm genuinely looking forward to our journey and work ahead. <3

One of the best therapists I’ve had. She has a great approach. I often feel uncomfortable talking to therapists but she’s so easy to open up to.
