I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State. I received my Master’s in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and have since worked in a non-profit supporting adults, children and families with Developmental or Intellectual Disabilities. I have experience providing individual and group mental health and behavioral services.
My counseling style is eclectic and client-centered, I believe in using different therapeutic approaches to meet a person where they are in their journey. I feel there are ways to personalize tools, interventions and therapeutic techniques to empower others to overcome feelings of depression and anxiety as well as deal with everyday issues that arise. I have experience with crisis, Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Stress Management, Disability Counseling and a specialty in Forensic Counseling. I strongly believe in creating a healthy and strong therapeutic relationship free of judgement. I'm focused on helping clients feel validated and confident in exploring their options and potential life changes that may foster a more fulfilling and peaceful future. Through an interactive, accepting and warm approach I hope to provide relief to others in many facets of their life. Putting yourself first and reaching out for help may be the first step towards making positive life changes.

Jennifer is a fantastic counselor. She’s very professional and listens as much as she advises. She guides me of my comfort zone and into some tough questions. I’d recommend her to anybody.
