Jennifer Walker, LMFT
About me
I have always valued people who were considered “different,” unusual, strange, or odd. These people are often the underdogs. The ones society often rejects, ignores, or discourages because they don’t fit into standard categories. Society is often limiting because of the constant need to label or categorize people. I have always been a fan of people who throw these labels to the wind and march to the beat of their own drum. These people are unique and they are often the types of people who end up changing the world because they forge their own paths instead of following the crowd. I base my treatment philosophy on developing your strengths, uniqueness, authenticity and your innate wisdom. Going against what society expects of you can often be isolating and painful.
My mission is to provide a safe, supportive and comfortable place for people who feel “different,” feel judged, or feel like they don’t quite fit in anywhere. I help individuals accept themselves, embrace their uniqueness, and develop positive coping skills to navigate difficult relationships and life challenges.

Jennifer is super compassionate and articulate. She listens patiently and asks the right questions to make you think. She provides gentle advice which has been helpful and reassuring when I’m doubtful. It’s only been a couple of weeks and I am starting to feel better.

Jennifer has been amazing to communicate with. I’ve been fortunate to be able to develop a bond with her over messaging that translated to a super easy conversation over the phone. Jennifer is easy to talk and provides thoughtful and sound advise. I can’t recommend her enough.
