I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the States of Montana and Kentucky. I have been working with individuals and families for 15 years on a wide variety of concerns ranging from depression, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, care-giving stress, dealing with a major medical diagnosis and life transitions. I have given many presentations nationally on coping with cancer as a young adult, grief and loss and dealing with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
My counseling approach is dynamic and interactive. I approach areas of concerns with a strengths based approach in order to help clients identify their goals and find ways within themselves to deal with difficult emotions. I also believe that change is possible and we are all capable of change with the right set of support and tools. I use a variety of cognitive and dialectical behavioral interventions along with mindfulness skills to help round out your experiencing and build up coping skills and achieve your goals.
In my free time I like to camp and hike with my family in Montana and all over the Pacific Northwest and spend time with extended family in Kentucky. I also practice Yoga and enjoy baking and cooking and swimming with my kids. I look forward to speaking with you and determining how I can help you achieve your goals and cope with difficult emotions.

Jenny made herself immediately available and communicated her frequency of contact. This reassured me of not being left to "hang" and gave me confidence to write as often as needed. The video conferencing took a bit to que-up, but once we got going, it has worked well. She accurately understands how trauma informs decisions and offers paths of change, always with an open hand. I feel confident that our collective work will result in positive changes in my life and that of my family. She supplements our communication with "side-work" and this has been helpful for me to process my work in an organized fashion.

Written on Mar 06, 2018 after therapy with Jenny for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, lgbt, relationship, grief, and bipolar
I have not been in therapy with her for a long time but this short period has been really great. She's quite mindful of the things you talk about and knows how to recognize patterns that may be detrimental to your well being. She's also very punctual and thoughtful - always responds to the messages you send, and every session ends with a summary of what was discussed. In short, very good!!! :)
