Jerah Griggs

About Me

Hi, my name is Jerah Griggs and I’m a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years of experience in the counseling and mental health fields. I earned a Masters of Education in Community Counseling from Georgia Southern University. Though I have lived and worked in several states over the years, I am currently licensed and practicing in Pennsylvania.

I have experience helping clients work through issues related to and including anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, life transitions, career challenges, military-lifestyle related issues, relationship and parenting issues, as well as self-esteem and confidence issues.

My approach to therapy is supportive and empathic, fostering introspection, self-awareness and growth. I am accepting and supportive of all people. In a safe, caring, and nonjudgmental counseling relationship, we will work through the issues that are causing you concern and have become obstacles in allowing you to live your best life. We will work together to identify your strengths, helping you to develop a deeper sense of awareness and reach your full potential.

I’m so happy you’re ready to take that first step in improving your life. I’m here to help!

Since working with Jerah, I have found myself sharing my feelings and truth more with those around me. Jerah is and incredible therapist and is so supportive of my journey! Therapy has helped me love myself and be more compassionate towards myself.

I can always count on Jerah, year after year. She validates every feeling I have without making me feel like a victim, no matter what I come to her about. I would highly recommend her to anyone, she's wonderful.

Jerah has been wonderful! She has helped me manage my emotions and navigate all the changes I’ve had with my family and blending my family with my partners. I always end our session feeling better! I’d recommend her to anyone!

Jerah has been an incredible asset to my life. She is completely understanding but not the point where she is enabling poor behavior. She is fair and incredibly honest and kind. I’m extremely thankful that she is my counselor and think she is a perfect match for my needs.

I’ve always struggled to make time in my schedule for therapy and counseling but the flexibility of being able to message her when I can or schedule video calls, is a huge help.

Jerah is an extremely supportive, sensitive, perceptive and intuitive counselor. In our very first session I felt truly heard and seen. She is able to follow my circular thought patterns and to tie them together into a productive thread. Then she offers me concrete feedback that I can work on between sessions. Our sessions are exactly what I was looking for and MORE!

I just love Jerah. I am really having a hard time trying to work through some traumatic life experiences but Jerah is just so incredibly caring and patient. It recommend her to anyone who "fears" the process of therapy and dealing with trauma.

Jerah has really changed my life for the better. I've talked to different therapists/counselors in the past but no one has ever been nearly as amazing as Jerah! I've gone through a lot in my personal throughout my time with her so far and she's helped me every step of the way. I love her so much and would definitely recommend her to anyone!
