About Me
Do you find yourself repeating habits or activities you’ve wanted to change? Have you discovered that time doesn’t actually heal all wounds? Would you like to feel more present, authentic and connected to yourself and others?
I help create a safe space to explore these questions. I will come along side you, learn about you and the strengths you already have, and help you build a plan for recovery. I can employ many different methods to help, but ultimately the only treatment I am interested in is the one that works for you.
I practice ‘unconditional positive regard’. I think you are heroic for seeking help. I believe you hold the keys to your own recovery, and I will help you fit them to the locks that are holding you back. I will be a helper, a supporter, and a confidante.
Spirituality can be a great help to some in times of need, but it can also be a hindrance and embody judgement, guilt, and shame. I am well versed in both sides of this coin, and can engage with a variety of spiritual practices. I can also exclude this aspect in therapy if desired, or help you find healing from spiritual abuse.
After over a decade in the military as an enlisted Marine and Air Force officer, I earned a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Concordia University with concentrations in Trauma and Substance Abuse. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Substance Abuse Counselor. My five kids and two cats keep me on my toes and help me juggle priorities and appreciate relationship dynamics!

Very grateful to have Jesse as a counselor. Even on days I don’t interact it’s a huge comfort knowing he is there to listen and talk if I need it.
Jesse has helped me look into the emotions behind my procrastination and social anxiety, which are the main reasons for my unhappiness. I've gotten some major takeaways from him and he was always great with communication. I highly recommend.
Jesse is a great person. He is very experienced and helped me understand myself better. I am doing much better now, and most importantly I am kinder to myself because of him.
I would highly recommend Jesse. He is supportive and informative and offers help which makes you think and act. I’m very happy with his help.
Jesse is the really the best counselor, I can tell him everything and not feel judged, he understands me and he is so helpful his advice is just mind-blowing and his care is so rare. He responds at everything that I say so I feel like I talk with a friend who is also a great therapist. What I love the most is that he gives me homework that helps me work with my struggles and I really feel that I grow stronger every day, he is just amazing I strongly recommend Jesse Deso
I appreciate this flexibility and ability to help troubleshoot all issues.
Response is timely and kind. Offers me a chance to answer my own questions and evaluate them.
