About me

Hi, my name is Jessica, and I'm looking forward to getting the chance to meet you. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 15 years, and I have worked with children, teens, adults, couples, families, and everything in between. I have experience with anxiety, anger, stress, depression, grief, trauma, and crisis. I am also well versed in addictions, mental illness, physical struggles (illness, disability, handicaps), parenting, and life transitions.

I believe that every single person can benefit from counseling. It doesn't mean that anything is wrong with you! You take your pet, car, eyes, and kids in for regular check ups, why not your emotions too?

My counseling style is to meet my clients where they are at. This means that we will take a look at your life currently and where you would like to be. Then we'll work together to make short term and long term goals. During our sessions we will be exploring some of the roots of your challenges and how to make changes so that you can achieve your goals. I come from a very holistic standpoint, and I believe that working on your mind, body and spirit is very important, as they are all interconnected. I also believe that purely talking is therapeutic, so much of our time together will be allowing you to talk and tell your story. Using forms of art, music, and self expression are also essential pieces to my counseling practice. Our sessions will be centered around the avenues that you wish to pursue. You will be given homework to work on during the days in between our session. This allows you to continuously focus on the changes that you wish to make, and will also reinforce the work that we do in your session. More than anything, I want to help you realize your potential and the ability to accomplish the goals that you set for yourself.

I understand that life can be hectic, and offer flexible scheduling, including day times and evenings. I will respond to messages within 24 hours, except for Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Jessica has been amazing! I was able to be open with her from the start and by the time I had my first session with her it felt like I had already known her. She responds in a timely manner, provides worksheets to help with therapy in between sessions, and stays engaged in our conversation during our sessions. I was hesitant with the idea of this type of therapy, being online and not in person at all, but Jessica has made me appreciate it.

I found comfort in Jessica talking about my struggles. It felt like I know her and she knows me. This give me confident to open up and speak up about my problems and get here’s guidance how better to help myself and understand and recognize symptoms and how to manage them when they are present.
