About me

Jess Kuchinski, LPC
Art Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Founder of Epiphany Art & Therapy Studio
My experience as a therapist began 16 years ago, treating children, tweens, teens and adults with trauma, crisis, grief, transition, communication struggles, high conflict relationships, LGBTQ challenges, and drive for personal and spiritual growth. I specialize in anxiety, PTSD, attachment and relationships, and parenting. I’ve worked in schools, residential treatment, crisis centers, provided psychological evaluations in emergency rooms, provided therapy in outpatient clinics, and homes, and in the community. I integrate Art Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, and Trauma-informed Yoga into therapy with adults, adolescents, and children, and families.

About Individual Therapy
I’ll meet you where you are, and from there, we figure out the map of the territory to where you want to be. I don’t believe we need to live in the past to find the way forward, but the past has a funny way of showing up for us right here. My clients develop skillful awareness of when a past circumstance is taking over the present. They learn precisely how to heal the past when it interferes with life right here, right now. So how do we do it? There are as many doors into healing as there are individuals ready to heal. Let’s define the modalities I’m trained to guide you through.

Want to talk neuroscience? Let’s work with your brain, body, nervous system and circumstances to help you know your body as the fine tuned instrument it is. Do you thrive on personal knowledge, skills, self-discovery? I’ll show you the mechanics of what is happening during a trauma, anxiety, or conflict response, so that you can understand exactly how you respond, and how you could respond differently. You have the power to understand and work your reactions and heal these patterns. But it usually takes someone with an unbiased outer perspective to help you see what’s out of your periphery. That’s where I come in. And let’s experiment with what happens when you change your approach to dynamics and patterns with others.

She has so far been very helpful and insightful, getting me to think about and open up to things I have been holding in for quite some time
