I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arizona. I have been working in the field of behavioral health since 2006 and specifically as a counselor since 2012. I've worked with clients of all ages who were facing challenges in both urban and rural settings. I aim to be accepting, compassionate, and nonjudgmental no matter what you are going through. The last thing anyone needs when they are struggling is more shame. (We tend to do an awfully good job of shaming ourselves, don't we?!)
I believe in a strengths-based approach. I will work with you to identify your positive qualities, passions, and natural supports and use them to assist you in your current difficulties. You are stronger than you know! :) I can give a lot of practical suggestions and "homework" -- or I'm happy to just listen. What I won't do is tell you what to do (unless it's a safety issue).
I'm pretty down to earth and practical. I try to stay away from clinical jargon and just speak plainly. I do think it's helpful to understand how our brains and bodies react to events in our lives. One of my core beliefs is that "there is nothing wrong with you." It's been my experience that feeling better is often a matter of practicing new skills and habits, such as self-compassion; gratitude; setting healthy boundaries; connecting with others; or learning appropriate ways to soothe yourself when distressed. Of course, there are also times when more services, such as medication or substance abuse treatment, are appropriate and we can discuss that together. I'm here to support and encourage you in your efforts to change.
I'm generally available for live sessions Monday/Wednesday/Fridays between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. I look forward to connecting with you!

Jessica does an excellent job and gives great guidance for all my troubles.
I enjoy working with Jessica. I feel like she understand me, and she has given me great exercises to use when working through some issues.
I had Jessica as my therapist for just a month but even in only a month she made a difference in my life. I was having constant anxiety attacks and I couldn't motivate myself at all to do anything. I was trying to get my GED but just didn't have the motivation, and my fiance was overseas. Well after the month with Jessica I not only have now managed to get my GED but I just aced my first college class, I am on track to become a nurse, my anxiety is still very much present but way more manageable, and the cherry on top although unrelated to the therapy is I am now married to my wife and she is here permanently. Thanks a ton Jessica you taught me some tools to keep myself accountable and motivate myself.
Thank you. Thank you for your time and attention to detail. Thank you for challenging me in a way that I’ve been looking for for a long time. You are wonderful and your expertise is extremely welcomed and appreciated.
She is kind and caring, very empathetic.
She’s kind and respectful, good listener! She tries her best
I like that she is flexible in the way we can meet up and is great at listening to me and giving me feedback that I can actually use.
Jessica is a fantastic counselor and I really look forward to our conversations. I have been making great strides over the last serveral months and Jessica and her advice definitely played a part in that progress.
Jessica is extraordinarily intuitive and compassionate. She has a natural and friendly style that can suit just about anyone. Our sessions are very conversational in style which provides a productive therapeutic environment. Jessica keeps things simple to start but is more than willing to "dig in" with more technical vocabulary showcasing just some of the depth to her intellect.
Jessica is an excellent listener. She has helped me to reconsider some of the work issues I am having. I do like the way she balances pushing and supporting.
Jessica is a great listener. She’s got a lot of great resources that she sends based on my needs and topics I’m working through. She has an array of worksheets that aid in self discovery. Of course, she never forces me to complete them but offers and encourages them. She’s also professional and kind.
I enjoy talking to Jessica. I always leave sessions feeling more refreshed than I was and I feel like I’ve been better off for having gotten to talk to her!
Love having her as my therapist! Makes good suggestions that are drastically different from my lifestyle! Really appreciate having her!
Been a great listener so far and had good advise. I appreciate her getting back to me timely on chat as well. thank you!
Jessica is awesome! I am able to connect with her and that is so important to me. I love our sessions and she is so helpful. 100% recommend.
Jessica's approach is very collaborative with recommendations and support that feel meaningful and achievable.
